The Thinker → The Builder → The Steward

The land itself is part of the Acadian Forest Biome. During the 19th century, the land's forest cover was cleared to establish a farm. In the 20th century however, the farming operations were abandoned. Consequently, the land was left to regrow back a new forest cover, and has served as a passively managed woodlot ever since.

The aim is to create a living example of Ecology and Economy co-existing in a peaceful and harmonious fashion, through the actively managed practice of Responsible Forestry. A productive & thriving hub of nature that inspires all its guests.

The first Forestry Management Plan has been completed by professional Foresters, and delivered for its study and implementation. I am now in the process of enacting the recommended improvements, first of which is repairing the roads to allow vehicle access. With proper vehicle access, other prescribed recommendations can then be made.
